I value my hearing. I also think it is important not to get totally closed off to your surroundings. So I have long liked the idea of active hearing protection.
I have the Peltor SportTac’s – but also struggle with over-ear earmuffs with modern chassis style rifles and my personal shooting technique. Cue – another very cool option.
The Peltors have impressed, that is for sure. Just make sure you take the time (like all earplugs) to get them fitting properly and you are away!
I am going to head away for a couple of days over the roar – and intend to take these out to give me a bit of bionic hearing advantage!
